ROCKTOBER: GABLE

GABLE

01. *What's the name of your band? What's the origin of that name? Have you changed the band's name before?
The name of the band is "GABLE". My last name. I named the band after what I was doing in the studio at the time. I was playing all the instruments and writing and record, engineering and producing all my own originals and thought, being the lead singer and one of the lead guitar players it only seemed fitting. I think most people these days tend to remember or acknowledge or associate with the voice of a band more than anyone else even if the other players are there own caracters. This band has it's own caracters, it reminded me of old kiss. You got the monster with the long hair and ominous look, a great voice and cool stage presence on bass with Blaine Peters. Then you have the drummer with his care free attitude, raspy voice and old school back beat feel, along with his own nickname in Steven "Rowdy" Foutty or "SRF". Or the slick, laid back "Joe Cool", heart felt blues rock Playing of Chris Keefe, who also has his own alias in "C.K.". My very own C.C. DeVille if you will, and then theres me. I believe that much like Kiss, Kid Rock, Prince, Meatloaf and all the over the top Theatrical type bands, I just want to bring people a bigger than life show, that will stick in the memories. Now sometimes that comes in the form of bad press or criticism. That isn't always a good or bad thing but, if people are talking about you, then they remember your name and wanna see whats next. Good or Bad. But there still coming to the shows.
02. *What genre of music do you consider your work to be? Who are your major influences?
Well, theres two sides of GABLE, the studio side with several full length disc in several different genres of music and theres the live side that tends to bend more toward cover songs in several styles and genres. Both have my philosophy of music. I like so many style from Classic rock, Classical and Jazz to Hip Hop, Rap, Metal, Thrash, and good old rock-n-roll. Anyone who can write a good song or a catchy song or a song that can pull your heartout rather it be from great lyrics or touching music, those are my influences. Kid rock, Kiss, Judas Priest, Ruch , Led Zepplin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Dream Thearter, N.W.A., Eazy E, Tone Loc, Beastie Boys, Rage Agianst The Machine, Nickelback, Meatloaf, Prince, Metallica, and I could just keep going. I love music and I love good song writer and great performers.
03. *How long have you all known each other? How did you meet? *When did you form your band? What inspired you to make music together?
Well, thats another long story. We all have a common factor in Vicious Wishes. Our first bands back when we were kids. Blaine was the very first bass player for Vicious Wishes back in the late 80's and very early 90's. The band was started by local frontman John Adams at the time going under the name John Russell. In late 91 early 92 the band broke up and I was the very first replacement guitarist. Vicious would go on to have over 7 different guitartists in its run and Chris Keefe would be one of them but when I left Vicious in 94, My first solo band would include Steve Foutty. After 95, I lost touch with all of these guys except for Chris Keefe. We became friends when he was dating the sister of my would be wife, and never played in a band together until GABLE. We would have great stoner sessions jamming for years and years but never played in a band.I stopped playing live music in 2000 and in late 2005 early 2006  he was jamming with a mutal friend Mike G. and told me to get my ass out of the house and get back into a band. We started a jam band at the time named RANDOM with a few other mutual friend until it came to a crashing end. Mike G. and I started the first Live version of GABLE with just the two of us, Mike G. as a guitar player and me as a guitar player and lead vocalist. I recorded in my studio, me playing all the bass, drums and keyboards with a few of my backing vocals and went out playing covers and originals with C.D. backing music and us playing guitar and me singing. The joke was that it sounded AMAZING. Chris Keefe caught us doing our Karaoke band act and was impressed and joined us with an urging to find live players for bass and drums. He was still intouch with Blaine and We happen to run into Steve Foutty right at the same time and it was Fate. Mike G. ultimately left the band for his own personal reasons and the band went on as a 4 piece and is the version of GABLE we have today.
04. *What can you tell me about your instruments? (i.e., Are you subject to brand loyalty or will you play with whatever's available? What made you choose the instruments you have now? Was it cost or was it a style/model/brand/color preference?
Chris Keefe plays a couple rigs, both have the strengths. When he is full on, he has a 5150 half stack amp with a pedal board he created that I am not allowed to divulge what is on this board but when I say it looks like it could be in Star Trek, Well that should tell you. Then there's his slimed down version which is a Marshal 2x12 with a select few of the pedals from his board. He has a signature Nuno Bettoncourt N4 Serise that is signed by Nuno himself, a couple of N2 serises, a Gibson Les Paul and a few others axes to go with the name brand monsters. His tone is what Rock-n-Roll should be. Over the top, Overwhelming and all balls. I play Ibanez mostly. A fake Lez Paul, Fender Acoustic, so I guess I will play whatever. My tone is less than crazy but solid and great under what Chris has and Good for my leads.
05. *Where have you performed? What are your favorite and least favorite venues?
We started out in Northern Maryland. Mainly in Harford Co., but have extend into Cecial Co, Baltimore Co. and Baltimore City. Bars mostly, The Main Street Tower, Longshots, Dicks Halfway Inn but have played in bigger clubs like Looney's
06. *Which songs do you perform most frequently? Do you have a set play list?
Live we cover everything from Bad Company, Skynyrd and Zepplin to Nickelback, Kid Rock and Green Day. Theres not much we won't cover. We do a great version of Come Sail Away that most people just don't expect to hear.
07. *Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs? Do you think these topics will change over time?
I write all the songs, the guys aren't opposed to writing or adding to what I do but not much into writing there own parts. Chris Keefe does a fair amount of his own writing but doesn't care to bring it into the band. Probably because the band name is GABLE and he wants his own material under his own name. But he has some great material and I hope he moves on with it and lets people hear it. Mostly I write about what I know. The rock tunes or just juvinile jams are about SEX, DRUGS, AND PUSSY. The more heart felt stuff is what's happened to me in my life. Everything from Heartache and love, to death and loss. I think as always, if you hit a vain with whatever your theme is, it's a song that will stand the test of time. From a Ballad to a gutter rock tune.
08. *Could you briefly describe the music-making process
Unfortunatly there's nothing Brief about the music making process. From the base writing to the outline recordings. To the final perfomance tracks, to the final mix to the mastering. The writing and recording process is long and daughnting. But so rewarding that it's better than any feeling I could descibe in words. To see someone moved or rocked by something you have created is undescribable.
09. *What are your rehearsals generally like? Do you have a set time each week in which you practice or are rehearsals more spontaneous?
We as a live band don't really have practice anymore. Once or twice a year we get together and learn some new tunes or just jam with nobody there, Just for us. We work out new songs from time to time live and it's hit or miss. Not to many train wrecks but it has happened. We have a few sets that we can mix or match from but the best songs will always be the best songs and you wanna perform them everytime. As far as writing, I may play a part in the studio 100 times before I am happy or before it is played right and some times it's the first try. Always different.
10. *How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together?
Well agian there is two sides here. The origianl material I write and record and the Live version of GABLE that I play with. As a writer I think of it like a wave. Sometimes I need to write mind-less fun, pure Rock-n-Roll songs, talking about nothing but the things I love. St. Paulies Girl, Yager-bombs, 420, Jim Beam, Capt. Morgan, Capt Crunch, Capn Fandracstic and anything else that tickles my funny bone, but then there is the more indepth side. The lost loves, the Heartbreak the stuff that make people who they are. I need my pain, My pain makes me who I am. Live is the same. You want boobs bouncing and asses shaking but you wanna grab an emotion from time to time as well. Live there needs to be more fun than downer ballads but theres still needs to be a guy grabbing his girl for a slow dance or two durning the night.
11. *What was your biggest challenged as a band? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? if so how?
Just staying current. Staying in the minds and memories of every fan, friend and family memeber we know. Staying unperdictable. It's even harder when your 37 years old but there is a little Axle Rose in me where I just seem to get drunk or stoned and go off the rails. It doesn't happen to often but enough to make a name as a partying, drinking, crazy mother fucker. And I don't have a problem with it. It is who I am so fuck it. Like me or don't. I am stll gonna do what I do, I am still gonna get paid for what I do and I am gonna have a grand fuckin time doin what I do. And to me, That been the heart and soul of good music and Rock-n-Roll since it's birth. Make it your own.
12. *What advice do you have for inspiring musicians out there?
Stay true to what you want. But be aware of what people want also. There is a fine line. If your just a writer, then write what you want, but if your playing for people than play what you and they want to hear. It's important.
13. *How can fans gain access to your music? Website? cds?
www.myspace.com/gablemusic You can checkout our schedule, you can listen to origianls, and you can hear great covers from GABLE live. E-mail me directly for C.D.'s if you like what you hear. I have several full length original C.D's as well as several full length Cover C.D.'s. Whatever your taste is we have something for you.
14.  *Anyone you would like to thank for emotional or financial support?
Well my wife Dawn, who has put up with every stressed out over indulgent moment that I have ever gone thru. She has been there for the whole ride. Chris & Tammy Gable as the other side of GABLE. Tammy has been booking our gigs and making us contacts for years and Chris is the official 5th member of GABLE. He gets up on stage with me for a few songs a night to help me out and make it a family affair. My mother, who doesn't miss a show. Chris Keefes parents who support in many ways including amazing photos. And then there's a list that will take to many lines for this interview. But we love everyone of you who have made and still make GABLE tits today!
15. *Anything else you would like to add?
Babs I wanna thank you for having us on your new Blog. I have been a longtime fan of your work as a AVS, and am so excited to be apart of your genesis into an amazing writer. We wish you the very best and will keep you in our favorites from now on. Keep the faith and carry the tourch of Rock-n-Roll into the next generation. Love you Babs. Peace, GABLE

Now, I may be partial to these wonderful gentlemen because they are like family, and I give kudos to my husband because if it were not for him, I would have no idea of how great they actually are. With a super laid back attitude and a fan base that is like a huge GABLE family you really can't go wrong. I did a write up on the first ever GABLEFEST via www.liveyoungdiefastmn.blogspot.com Which really showed how genuine and real this band is. Not only is the music phenomenal but from a 1-10 on an overall scale they totally ring in at an 11. I am a full supporter of all the bands that I post on here, but I may push these guys a little bit more, and honestly, if you are looking for a really good time, you need to get to one of their shows asap. For example, the first time I attended their show, I had one of the best times of my life. It was my first time meeting my husbands "brother" and his family as well as going to a Gable show. With my nerves going haywire (believe it or not Im very shy) I couldn't have asked for a better result. A couple of bowls, shots of jager, and I believe a mixture of tequila was in there too. I totally lost myself in the music. I let my guard down, and made some life long friends. (I actually was "that girl" that night) BUT If their is one thing I really like to emphasize on in the environment of a show. A lot of times you are uncomfortable or very cautious of who you meet. I promise you at a Gable show, you will feel like a part of their family in no time. THIS IS A BIG DEAL PEOPLE! From this interview it is obvious that this is a real dream, they take it extremely serious, but they aren't assholes about it. Which I think just knocked them up to a 12 on that scale. So I will end this in simple terms; The music is great: The fans are even better: They deserve your attention.

ROCKTOBER: WITCHGRASS

WITCHGRASS

> *What's the name of your band? What's the origin of that name? Have you
> changed the band's name before? - Witchgrass. My ex roommate was a biology major / dance minor, and she had an arboretum for one of her Plant Life classes. Witchgrass is a weed that looks like hair. I have changed the name. I used to be Girlghost, and I had another singer in the band for a while; we were called Kanahwa and The Earth and sometimes Dick Banditz when we played the He-Man Woman Hater's Club.

> *What genre of music do you consider your work to be? Who are your major
> influences? - Old time folk & blues. If not for Townes Van Zandt and Songs: Ohia, I woudn't be playing music.

> *How long have you all known each other? How did you meet? - Right now Witchgrass is just me, so I've known me for almost twenty two years! We're tight like that.

> *When did you form your band? What inspired you to make music? - I've been playing music since I was nine years old, but I guess I started writing serious songs when I was fourteen. I was a lot quieter back then. I learned to play just playing with my family on the front porch, and I guess you could say that The Appalachian Mountains were my biggest inspiration.

> *What can you tell me about your instruments? (i.e., Are you subject to
> brand loyalty or will you play with whatever's available? What made you
> choose the instruments you have now? Was it cost or was it a
> style/model/brand/color preference? - I tend to play baby / toy guitars because I have small hands, and I like the tone that they produce. I have bought two Ibanez Artcores, an AG-75 & an AM-73. They both broke in the same way, and I would buy them again, but now I know what to look out for. I tend to play whatever is on hand because since my guitars are so small and so old and meant to be toys, really, they go out of tune a lot and that's embarassing when you're in the middle of a live set. Andrew Ford (the second half of my other band, Honeydudes) and Chris Lopez have been known to act as my roadies from time to time. John Miller is always telling me to learn how to tune. I'm really trying, I just always tune somewhere around half a step up.

> *Where have you performed? What are your favorite and least favorite venues? I have played so many places I have lost count by now. My favorite venues have been: 1) Lizz King's house in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. 2) The Church in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. 3) Blue Moon Cafe in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. 4) The Farmer's Market on Sundays in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. 5) any house show, 6) Skull Fest @ The Dudio in Martinsburg, West Virginia

> *Which songs do you perform most frequently? Do you have a set play list? - I write a new setlist for every show that I play so that I never play the same show. My most popular (most requested) songs are: 1) "Rye Whiskey" 2) "Crawdad Hole" 3) "The Subtlety of Chores and Unlocked Doors" (a Des Ark cover), and 4) "Thousand Dollar Car" (a Bottle Rockets cover)

> *Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your
> songs? Do you think these topics will change over time? - I write all my own songs, and give credit where credit is due when I do covers. I know for a fact that these topics change over time. For instance, you can tell what I've been going through on my new album... Basically it goes like this: Mey Mey drinks too much --> Mey Mey realizes she has a drinking problem --> Mey Mey is hospitalized for drinking too much --> Mey Mey is realy sick --> Mey Mey doesn't drink so much anymore.

> *Could you briefly describe the music-making process - Sit down with guitar. Hum awkwardly while trying new chord progressions. Become frustrated that all your songs sound the same. Collect snippets from journals. Come out of it with something completely new and amazing.

> *What are your rehearsals generally like? Do you have a set time each week
> in which you practice or are rehearsals more spontaneous? --- I try to practice at least four hours a day but in reality that comes out to something like four hours a week. I haven't really played guitar or sang all summer because I've been in the hospital and they frown on that kind of thing.

> *How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together? --- I used to be very quiet and my voice was a lot higher. Then I sat down with John Miller from The Fox Hunt in a tiny room and he was yelling and playing like he was playing to thirty people, and I realized that you gotta be loud to sound confident. So my sound changed, and I think it was for the better.

> *What was your biggest challenged as a band? Have you been able to overcome
> that challenge? if so how? --- Getting over my stage fright. Basically getting over myself. I've learned not to point out my shortcomings before anyone else has a chance to.

> *What advice do you have for inspiring musicians out there? --- Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. There is the me that walks around and does normal people stuff, and then there is the character I play on stage. I like both.

> *How can fans gain access to your music? Website? cds? --- I have a CD available for purchase through email (witchgrassmusic@gmail.com) for $5.00 ("Quest for Fire", 2009; recorded by Ben Townsend, featuring Ben Townsend, John Miller, and Matt Kline of The Fox Hunt [ http:/www.myspace.com/lefoxhunt ]. You can also listen to my music at http://www.myspace.com/witchgrass and http://witchgrass.muxtape.com

> *Anyone you would like to thank for emotional or financial support? - Thanks to Uncle John for paying for Quest for Fire. Ben Townsend for recording it and playing fiddle / banjo / guitar / singing on it. John Miller for vocals and upright bass. Matt Kline for guitar on "Rex's Blues". Linda Hansen for paying the $50 fee for me to get my GED.

> *Anything else you would like to add? - If you can bring happiness to people by doing what you love, don't ever stop doing it.

Now this very talented young lady holds a spot close to my heart. Believe it or not, back in the day (being 21 do we have a "back in the day"?) We would hang out smoke a bowl and write songs, play some x box, and every now and then study for history 101. We even collaborated on a rap song together. Sneezy horsie. If I can dig it up, I will post it. However, lets get to her talent. There are not too many women out there with a voice that will cause me to get goosebumps across my skin. But Witchgrass is one of them. I am so envious of the spooky but comforting voice this young lady has. After going through some serious Medical problems, she is recently getting back to setting up her show schedule. Once I am able to get a hold of it, I will without a doubt make sure you all know.  Take a couple of minutes and give her songs a listen. You will not be disappointed!

ROCKTOBER: THE LUGOSI'S

 THE LUGOSI'S

*What's the name of your band? What's the origin of that name? Have you changed the band's name before?
the name of our band is the lugosi's, the band is named after bela lugosi the actor who played dracula and in a ton of old horror movies. we threw a couple names around but this one was liked by everyone in the band, we were calling it hep c and the lugosi's for awhile, but the lugosi's is alot more simple and to the point...the only problem with the name, is most dont know how to pronounce it.
*What genre of music do you consider your work to be? Who are your major influences?
well, this is a hard question to answer, i feel we are kinda a little all over the place, we could be called punk, or pyschobilly or whatever, we really just think of it as rock n roll on MURDER. we all have so many influences its hard to list and speak for everyone...i think we are mainly going for like a 50's sound but punk, its a mixture of all of our influences,we all like different things, theres some metal in there, some rockabilly and def some punk......socko put it best by saying we sound like the misfits and elvis in a blender....
*How long have you all known each other? How did you meet?
socko(upright bass)  and myself met in 2009, i own a tattoo shop in shippensburg pa and one day i was out buying a car, and when i got back to work and was looking to park, he was standing on the doorstep looking in the window, after we bullshitted for awhile we realized we knew alot of the same people and had alot of similar interests, so he started stopping in now and then, within a few weeks he was working in the shop on the weekends, it
kinda all went from there.. him and trev(lead guitar)  worked together at his regular job, and i guess they hit it off as well. hammer  (drummer) was sent our way from a friend of sockos, hammer was in the horror punk band werevilsdare and i had booked them before so i knew exactly who he was. we started out with a good friend of mine on 2nd guitar, joe "dogboy" rockwell we had worked together before in the cock blocks and other projects, but in the end it didnt work out, and hammers brother grid, also from werevilsdare joined the band.
*When did you form your band? What inspired you to make music together?
really it was sockos idea, he had a great idea about starting a band, and we talked about it often..joe and I played a farewell show as the cock blocks and were looking to start something new, after the show socko had mentioned that he was impressed with the band, and he started really wanting to get his project going, at the same time him and trev were spending alot of time talking about the band at work, so he went out and got a bass and taught himself to play, he is also an amazing guitar player btw...he kept asking if i would be interested, and at first i thought it wasnt for me, dont get me wrong i loved the idea, but thought i wasnt cut out to sing the way he was going for. its funny, i kept pressuring my friend gus to try out and he wouldnt..so me and joe went out to sockos to give it a try..socko had the start of a song "chicks in chunks"...after messing around for awhile that day, we wrote the rest of the song and it was great...i left there being super excited..i realized with a little help from socko, i could sing the way he wanted, he actually taught me to sing in the rockabilly way, now i feel like this is what i was meant to do..it all just kinda fell together after that...
*What can you tell me about your instruments? (i.e., Are you subject to brand loyalty or will you play with whatever's available? What made you choose the instruments you have now? Was it cost or was it style/model/brand/color preference?  the guys arent to worried about cost or color or anything they just play what they like.. hammer plays pearl drums, trev plays a schecter guitar and uses a mesa boogie cab, grid plays an ibanez and uses a marshall cab.....and socko uses weedwacker pro strings on his upright....
*Where have you performed? What are your favorite and least favorite venues?
things kinda just took off for us show wise, we have played almost every weekend since our first show back in april..weve got to play with some great bands, the meeps, the koffin kats, dr chud from the misfits band sardonica, .weve played all ages venues and bars, we are super stoked about our next couple shows, were playing field of screams in pa, and the zombie walk in westminister maryland, those shows are right up our alley and a little different then most of the shows we have been playing...i pretty much like everywhere we play, i love playing rocket becuase it local, kids can come and terry kerns and family are awesome! i love playing bars, cause we can throw a couple back and really let loose, i think we shine the most when im in the bag. i also love frostburg maryland....weve been playing alot down there and the people are great! im also a big fan of playing anywhere with the dead end cruisers...i guess what im really trying to say, is i love playing anywhere, so do the rest of the guys, everythings happening kinda fast for us, and we are getting asked to come back places,  so its like wow, people like us! hahaha
*Which songs do you perform most frequently? Do you have a set play list?
i guess it depends where we are playing, sometimes we have shorter amounts of time to play, we like to play atleast our original stuff and when we have more time we love to throw out some covers and get the crowd going... we dont really have a set list, we usually always start the set the same way, but we kinda just play whatever, if we have a set list, and the crowd needs pumped up, we might switch it around alittle, just to make things happen..

*Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs? Do you think these topics will change over time?
socko brings alot of the material to the table, he is a very gifted songwriter. everything just kinda falls together, i esp enjoy when we all work together, those are some of our best songs... the main themes are monsters, and vampires, and girls, and pbr...i dont think these themes will change much, its really all about having a good time, fun stuff, but on murder..
*Could you briefly describe the music-making process
we all bring different stuff the the table, trev and grid will bring guitar parts, sometimes socko tweaks the guitar, sometimes one of us brings up an idea and we just go from there, sometimes ill throw out just a song name, and socko will come back with a whole song, sometimes he will have a chorus, and we all work out the words, shit some of the songs have just came from jokes...like a song we are working on now called "too fat for rock and roll"....a certain "my head is fucking huge' singer told us we needed to work out and get in shape and maybe we would get more fans...well "too fat" spawned from that...
*What are your rehearsals generally like? Do you have a set time each week in which you practice or are rehearsals more spontaneous?
well we started out practicing every sunday, then when we started playing almost every friday and saturday we started practicing less. we all have busy lives and some of us have familys...so we kinda kicked back and just played shows for a good three months...we all are itchinig to start playing new stuff cause we have a ton written, we just never have the time to work on it, so its looking like this winter we will be taking it easy and working all this stuff out for the next album, and i think we are also gonna shoot a couple videaos as well.. are practices are fun, lots of joking and laughing, making fun of the big headed monster, and stuff like that...we are all over the place at practice..
*How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together?
i think we have all grown comfortable with each other and kinda formed a brotherhood, we all didnt really know each other well, so its been a fun time getting to know each other while going out and playing shows, i think this has had a tremendous effect on the music and our stage show...we are constantly evolving...and its cool because i feel as if we are not set in a specific genre, and everyone doesnt care where the music goes. like a new song we just started playing called "witch", its nothing like the rest of the music....
*What was your biggest challenged as a band? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? if so how?
id have to say scheduling is a bit challenging. with there being five guys in the band, its hard to get us all in one place at one time, whether it be practices or shows or whatever, its hard. spending so much time away from home and our familys is a bit draining too. one thing i have to say is, we arent one of those drama filled bands, we just do what we do...oh yeah and a big challenge is funding...this shit gets expensive...so buy our cd, please..
*What advice do you have for inspiring musicians out there?
just get out there and do it, do your thing, play your music, dont let your head get big, be nice, dont expect anything, be happy with what your doing and the people your doing it with, dont let yourself get distracted by the negativity, play your shows, even if its only for 20 mins, and play it loud.
*How can fans gain access to your music? Website? cds?
we have a myspace its www.myspace.com/belalives  there are a couple fan pages on facebook as well, you can find out where we are playing on the myspace.. we recorded our first album in august and as of now it is only available for digital download, the album should be out on cd soon!  the album is called bela lives, and it is available everywhere, like itunes, amazon, rhapsody, lastfm.com and all those download sites, they are all selling the album for around ten bucks but you can get it on cdbaby.com for $4.99. and keep checking back on us, we have almost another album ready plus we are recording a split with our fav pop punk band the meeps probably in december so it will be out next year, it will be a fun record and we our both covering one of each others songs and there will be some new material on it as well. also we should have a couple videos done hopefully by next year so keep watching for them as well...
*Anyone you would like to thank for emotional or financial support?
id really like to thank everyone in the bands familys, they have all been so supportive in so many ways. if it wasnt for them, we wouldnt be out doing this. also i would like to thank matt burns, he has helped us right from the start, id also like to thank mark demise from werevilsdare, he has been a big help as well, and id like to thank the places who have us play there, and the people who take the time out to come and see us, i enjoy the time we spend together..

Also, it is very fitting to start off with these guys considering Halloween is coming up. If you are seeking a good show in the MD/PA/WV area definitely keep yourself updated on their schedule as more and more shows come along. JUST REMEMBER TO BRING  THE PBR! Thank you Alabaster Slade and the rest of the Lugosi's for taking their time out and doing this for me and the fans.

So many of you I know are waiting patiently for post for Rocktober. And I thank you. This past week, Ive been tracking down and also have been contacted by different bands to interview. But still waiting on many of them to get back to me. So hopefully, here shortly I can get you guys the entertainment you want! But since I am realizing how slow this blog process is. I am going to introduce Novembers theme and start working on that so the waiting period is not so long.

A November to Remember- If you have a story of a loved one that has been through hell or possibly passed and want to remember them for their achievements, I would like to hear from you. We all have been though some sort of tragedy regardless of the severity one may place upon it. You all still deserve your minute to acknowledge their life's achievements. If you are interested email me at kkviel@gmail.com

So now just an update on what's been going on in my life explaining my absence this week. Yeah, I may have come out the gate hard, then all of a sudden disappeared. But mind you for a good reason, I am very very pregnant and will be having another child here soon. So when I was getting dizzy and short of breath I couldn't help but get concerned and ignored my blogging responsibilities. Hope thats a decent enough excuse. But good news apparently getting up at 430 am for no reason and going to bed late is not acceptable for a 36 week prego. Also, "forgetting to eat" is a no no. So due to extreme fatigue and low blood sugar I was making myself feel like crap. If you know me, you know that I'm good at that. But am happy to say everything looks well and now am "recovering" from my own stupidity and ignorance.

Let us get rid of all this seriousness and go for funny for a paragraph or two. or maybe i should just say nerdy.
Well oddly enough, I dont have a life, who would've thought right? So I play fantasy football just to add some sort of excitement to my days. Already a football fan, it seemed like a reasonable thing to do. And after my husband being asked "what are your wife's hobbies" and he responds "umn... she likes that facebook stuff... oh and she sews." I had to throw and even more geeky thing into the mix. (you know its bad when your husband says facebook is a hobby, and even worse when I can't even come up with any myself) So after being fantasy football retarded I start to figure it out. I get my players and see how it goes. week one: BabsMonroe vs. TheBleedingBlackandGold (why are you bleeding black and gold, you really should get checked out) Anyways, I was totally stomped by this guy, and assumed it was how my fantasy season was going to go. I mean these guys probably get together and hang out and trade and do that meticulous planning shit. But as week two rolls around i win move from 9th to 6th and so on. So 5 weeks later I am number one in the rankings. Really? me? number one? and as i see this, I can not help myself but to inadvertently let out a very loud wooo! Which apparently, freaked out the dogs and the next thing i know i have two american bulldogs barking in my lap. After I get them calmed down, Meat (the male) looks at me with this look like, "what a freaking dork, if she didn't scratch my ass I wouldn't even be seen with her"  So it looks like Ive been bitten by the fantasy football bug and all you boys in my league watch out! But it wouldn't surprise me now that I drop all the way to last, just for boasting.

Lions and Tigers and Bears! OH MY!

Okay maybe there's no tigers or bears, but there are certainly lions and stupidity in this little story I'm going to talk about. So here's the general idea. At a circus in Ukraine a lion tamer was attacked by 2 full male lions. As I'm hearing this all I can think to myself is..."He totally got what he deserved". As I get more and more information, that still stands. First of all the tamers name is Pinko. If I was a lion, I would attack you too, just for allowing yourself to be known as that. But no, lets get the serious for a minute. So apparently, the lion started to approach the tamer in a threatening manner, however stopped and submitted to him. That's when douchebag dave on the outside of the fence decided to poke the animal with a large stick. Now I dont know about you, but if Im getting poked by a stick, Im probably going to attack someone too. Anyways, 2 of the lions then proceeded to fuck this tamer up, who I must say, for being named Pinko handled it fairly well, and was able to get away and is reported to be okay and stable with the only injury being a missing junk out of his arm. But it's Ukraine, and stable to them, could very well mean, on his death bed. But I do hope he's okay, however, stays away from anymore lions.

So how many people have to be attacked by lions, for us as a human species to realize, ITS NOT A GOOD IDEA. These animals take down elephants in the wild, and we think we are able to turn them into little kittens? Im not going to go animal rights activist on ya'll but I personally, do not believe taking wild animals and making them jump through hoops is fair.

So I want your opinion of this. But first would like to say, I know there are haters, people who like to instigate, or whatever. but if you have a logical argument or reasoning for a debate. I totally encourage it. Just so we are clear im going to give you some examples of what to and not to do.

Good: I disagree with you because lions jumping through hoops is entertaining.
Bad: Lions are cool. You're fat. i hope you die.

So now that is clear, I hope to hear what your opinions are on the many different entry's I plan on posting. So now lets get to the lovely picture I stole off the interwebs and analyzed for you.

While all of this was going on, there was a guy trying to console his child in the background of the video, and I give him 2 thumbs up, and hugs to the child, since they will be in therapy for many years to come with a new phobia of lions.
